one cut from my night of folly i spoke of earlier(video session, 3 camera shot, multitrack, etc.)
the song "Justice" by ZI in dub...low key, laid-back.
there is very little studio trickery. this is very live.
mastered with optimaster/brainrox/har-bal/samplitude/vinco and for some extra ambience, masterverb........trying to make it sound decent on a tv.....
(to the tune of "if i only had a brain) if i only was an engineeeer....
i'm thankful for the learning process of every project.

to add:
perfect amount of the (very) lows, considering it's a radio mix

nice sound anyway, specially as it's a live mix

Gary, the band sounds tight & the recording is really sweat!! The authentic dub sound is there & well played. It's got the original Black Ark dub vibe, but maybe there weren't enough dubbed out spot FX (delays & reverbs). The guitar I wasn't sure about in places. Still sounds good though

Gary, a 'dub influence' thread would be great!!
You know, just a list of dub creators who are worth mentioning like Darkrezin's rap thread. It would probably be educational

thanks...i'd like to get better at really hearing what's there...
Shroomz-
maybe...
dub is a little more obscure than rap or hip/hop(or dnb for that matter)...

More diverse certainly. More influential as well...I doubt if hip/hop & dnb would sound the same let alone exist if it weren't for their roots in dub.

I am very new here as a poster, but i gotta say, there's a very nice vibe at this site. This tune is a good example of that. I can feel da lovedub through the haze, f'sure, right.
