Hi Forum members,

Some of you have been watching the activity over in the Modular Talk section. Some recent requests sent me off for a bit to work on a variation of the Proph@t Plus for Modular use (you can see a screenshot here).
While there, you can also scroll down a bit to see an additional Modular project I started (the Solaris Modular Kit).

While all this was a lot of fun and very inspirational to put together, I had to interrupt the work I was doing on a new, hybrid of a Prophet/Waldorf combination I've been planning...which I'm announcing today, except I don't have a satisfactory name yet! Originally I was thinking along the lines of "Pro-Q", etc., but this just doesn't grab me...SO...as I did with the Quantum Wave, I am going to hold a naming contest for this synth, with the winner receiving a free version!

Here's one of several screenshots, showing some of the popup menus and changes:

As you can see, the oscillator menu includes the CEM oscillator (standard Prophet sound), a WAV Osc, an RD Slot, and all of the Waldorf waveshapes. Graphics for each appear (and disappear) as needed.

The PolyMod section has been expanded in 2 ways - there are 2 mod paths, but now are not fixed Source (Filter Env and Osc B in the Prophet), with a popup list selecting a number of sources. Also, the destinations have been expanded to match the LFO (Wheel Mod) section, as with the Pro-12 ASB. You can also see that I've added the Wave Envelope (called Loop Env here) from the Quantum Wave and Solaris v4 synths.

This synth is completely compatible with the current Proph@t Plus preset lists, and I will also be producing it in a Modular version, very much like the Proph@t Plus version mentioned above.

Please visit my Website, or contact me directly for more information.

Hybrid ... or play with the upper lower cases .. HYBRid / hybrID.

You could also put 'Pro' or 'Prophet' in front of it if you wanted.

These posts are all dated with a time

But you're right, as John maybe meant for a private competition off-list...

I take that back, is it possible to name it whatever the person who purchases it wants? I.E. GaryB could have it called Future Ancient, Shroomz could have it called Psylliciben Modular, and me, oh well I like descriptive names, you now like FAT BASTARD!!
Or in a purely political sense, name it after my fiancee, so that I could play 4 hours w/o having my balls busted so much. But then I would have to call it WILMA, nah, I don't think so, more like FAT BITCH.

Pro Wave is my suggestion  [edit: megerov got there 3 mins before me hehe]

By the way John, what filters are available? Would it be possible to run Flexor filters in the filter slot?

I don't have the Solaris or your other semi modular stuff (although I have a few of your old synths) so I'm not that familiar with the way the semi-modular stuff works.

This thing looks really cool though, congrats
