IE:- not pop-ups, but pages within a module which function as the rest of the paged devices on the platform do.

I think the Djmicron's Host do the job. Or I've missed the question?

Hi Lima, I meant multiple pages accessable by pressing page 'tabs' or buttons. This would mean a relatively small module could be packed with extra controls without enlarging the size.

...and there's flexor's Wavedraw which has a switch to change panels - here just for showing/muting the drawn wave, don't know if it could do different control panels. I guess so, but don't ask me how eh.

I'm thinking if it's possible it would need to be done in such a way that the patch connection sockets remain in place while a paged section above or to the side of the sockets allows skipping through pages of controls (pots/sliders)

That's exactly how it is on WaveDraw...

Shroomz,

Preliminary tests tonight showed that one can put page 'tabs' on a module surface, and have them work on objects.

Will look more at it tomorrow.

cheers,
John B.

Thanks very much for testing that John, tabs will be fine. With this help from you guys it's looking like a lot of new things are possible.

the only useful thing I know for tabs are electric dish washers (and even those I can't stand)
please, keep that annoyance off the surface
a 'one-row' line of tabs is as good (or bad) as any row of buttons, 'multi-rows' are confusing and drive me nuts every time I have setup to something in Office.
... but maybe I'm just old-fashioned

(while I'm at it) Shroomz, you might want to re-consider your ultra-realistic layouts regarding screen ergonomy.
One item may look great, but it generates a lot of eyestress when the screen fills.
There isn't enough screen estate anyway to fill in the equivalent of a square meter of 'classic' dials.

In particular this applies to evenly spaced rows and columns instead of functionally organized groups.

Maybe something in Ableton's style, possibly with (faint) color grouping or feedback - it's much(!) more difficult than any pseudo-3d-animation.
Remember the Bauhaus design classics, for example
This is meant in a positive sense.

cheers, Tom

Nice one John, that's the first device I've seen with tabs or buttons for multi page navigation in modular. Very nice work!!
