ya know, I think the bottom line is that most creative people aren't. I mean, not wierd, or strange, or eccentric.. but just not normal. Like not being able to identify with some thing things that everyone seems to automatically identify with.. things like that.

Well, it bugs me. Or atleast it gets me thinking. I guess I'm perfectly okay with not being able to identify with what everyone else identifies with.. But I can't beat human nature. The basics of society relies on the exact thing.. co-existance and co-experience. If I can't identify and experience something as other would, then it automatically leaves me out. Ya know? That feeling? At 16, feeling left out is okay. At 28? I begin to wonder.

And then there's always the questions of... well, it's heck easy if I "choose" to abide, and just fake my way through 'till I don't know I'm faking it. Obviously that'll kill something in me, called creativity.. which I've invested most of my personality in. Tough. And at the same time, what would that gain me? Become part of society while I discard my identity? hmm....

Well, I think I've really been too lonely here in Miami.. my brain's really falling apart and playing tricks on me.

The older you get the more people will find you a bit strange.
They are disappointed that you 'forgot' the second birthday of them kid, you are disappointed why they don't take their time to answer your emails, etc.

no, i don't buy this. normal? different? special? how about distinct? hahaha! just because i can pop open a box and slap a drum loop with synth pads over it, turn around do a little chacha and say hey i created something doesn't make me special. it's the same thing as a lot of other hobbies. But i like to think so. and that's vanity. Yes Ken you might be feeling a bit lonely out there, but hey, shit happens, you'll get better

Legros, I think in a round about way Ken's point is about being or not being part of 'the system' in a stereo-typical manner. IE:- conforming to societies' rules & expectations, such as social & procreational traditions. Times are very different for most of our generation in almost every way. Things will change even more rapidly in the social sense in coming years as more & more business is done online rather than in offices. Most businesses will inevitably be forced by their governments to make people work from home instead of poluting the enviroment by driving to and from work every day etc. That will definately happen on a huge scale, because businesses who don't pay for huge office premises save lots of money

Anyway my point is, that people interacting with one-another physically, in the real world, is on the decline & will probably continue so exponentially, causing potentially increasing lonliness for some people (especially those who move around). There's an instablity in that itself I think, but oddly when I've travelled I've felt really free & met people really easily. It's just when you travel somewhere & don't meet people easily that lonliness can kick in a bit, but there's always a surprise around the corner unless you're a technohead hermit.

Isn't it funny that in commercial breaks we hear,"Be Different,Don't be a part of the system,break down the walls,escape from the .........whatever.......",and in the end, everybody's so busy trying to be different,but they don't have any imagination.So they're all the same ?

I guess so too. I need to get out of this place.. or well, it actually looks like I can. I may be moving up to NY during the summer. Now that's a serious place to be for any form of art.
