On 29 March a total solar eclipse went over Afrika, Turkey and up to Russia.

Some folks from Israel organized a 7 day Goa trance festival in Turkey, near Antalya, to celebrate this event.
In 1999 I visited a similar event in Hungary, also at a total eclipse.
Seems to grow a pattern here

The atmosphere was wonderfull, the Goa trance scene is really nice and friendly, much more than I've seen in other dance departments (because of a certain 'hippy' attitude??).

The festival area was located in a national park, 20 km from the coast, a primitive 5 km road brought you from the last small village to the festival area.
There still was snow on the two high mountain peaks, but the weather was good, it was really springtime, tho there was some rain during the first days.

I made some pictures during eclipse time, I just put them on a webpage dedicated to this happening.
Have a look if you like, I hope you can see that people were enjoying the event and each other

I gave some pictures a personal 'liquid' sauce, but I put them together in the 'Liquid Mind' columns, to avoid confusion.

Njoy

There's 'Boom' in Switzerland this year!
it's worth it!
-crazy picture eh? thank God they don't smile, in fact I'm not sure the right girl really does exist, the way she looks, and you can almost see the bones of her right arm

@ Braincell, great link, very accurate descriptions and information, as far as I can estimate, thanks

@ Katano, I was wrong, Boom is in Portugal, as usual, Der SchweiZ offers Zoom open air, one night and day after.
And very soon there's Sonnenklang, but that's in Austria if I'm right

ok, then i found the right site, but portugal is to far away...
http://www.boomfestival.org

I know zoom, but it's a shame for the goa community. at the beginning of zoom, i can't remember exactly when, it was very familiar and with a good spirit. today it's only a commercial event

I may have a look at Sonnenklang...

thanx

Nice Hubird
I like goatrance parties as well. Funny, cause i also love going to underground tekno parties, and the tekno people seem to be natural enemies of the goa tribe  still, i like 'em both. I think there's some big goa party going on in Rotterdam on Koninginnedag next weekend, and i'll probably be going there with some friends.

then I better could stay in Rotterdam fryday night, when I'm going to the NOW&WOW party
I'm on the guest list, so I can't let that go
And saterday night there's also Dave Clarke in Doornroosje in my town Nijmegen, man it are bussy days today

I also don't have troubles with combining styles in my life
let's meet one day somwhere at an event

The place looks good, memories are coming back
Sad that the pictures are rather small...
cheers

Btw, I saw hundreds or even e few thousends of pictures of the eclipse festival by other people, but I did not see even a glimp of the two girls of the third picture above (there's a thread on the Soulclipe festival site for people's links to their photos).
So strange, it looks like I shoot only kind of a dream, specially if you look at the girl in white dress.
I'm glad I did

a great shot indeed - is it really from that distance (>20m) or did you emphasize the focus by blurring the background a bit ?
if original it's close to perfect, if manipulated then it's very tasteful

cheers, Tom
