I am looking for something cool, with world news, but in the form of flash-news, not too long, clearly exposed and well presented. There are several ones that I consider to be very good, except because they are biased toward something. I guess all channels, papers, magazines etc. that are about world news, have their own filters, but there are perhaps some independent channels that could be better and independent of the rest that I don’t know.

Any suggestions, links? Cheers

I should have specified: "In English language"

I could suggest google-news:
http://news.google.com/news?ned=us

Check also the other state's page: UK,Chile etc.. in the "top stories" menù.

<a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/default.stm">BBC News</a>

The BBC site is mostly up to the minute Nestor. It resides on our bookmarks toolbar here

Cheers you guys

These two ones you are talking about have been my preferred ones for quite a while.

I would like perhaps some more information about world news in general. I could get in every single virtual paper, but nobody in the world could possibly read such amounts of information daily.

Thanks for your answers

I didn't know this one, it is in my list cos I found its interface very clean, and the writing very clear. Cheers

Now I'm done, here's my final choice, which will complemente each other:

http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/i_video ... 0251.shtml

http://www.sky.com/skynews/home/0,,,00.html

http://www.bbc.co.uk/?ok

http://news.google.com/news?ned=us

http://www.ananova.com/

With this I think all the most important world news will be covered. Cheers

In Australia I like http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/ It's very conservative, but the web version has a quirky side that I like. They also very rarely run any tabloid crap or Hollywood gossip rubbish. I hate it when so-called news sites run Hollywood PR bullshite and pretend it's news.

Sadly, many people are actually interested in news which involves crap like Jim carey's shoe size or who prince willy marries. Thankfully, many of us aren't interested in tabloid gossip any more than drilling into our forehead with an 8inch auger bit. D
