Hi,

I want to solder a new I/O cablewhip for my old pulsar1 (the old cablewhip was lost ...)
I remember that I had once a print of the pin layout but I just can´t find it anymore ...
Can anyone here help me out?
Greetings,
Jan

Why not contact creamware and order a new whip?

cause I´m building a live-rack (P4 2,4Ghz; 1xScope; 1xPulsar2; 1xPulsar1; A16; Mackie 1604VLZ; Flatscreen) and thought of soldering a whip with the possibility to put it in the 19" rack for connecting fast and reliable external gear...
silly thought?
All in all I found cablewhips for 50$ and thats too much, I think...
Greetings,
Jan

you probably mean <a href=http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... =14&0>this one</a>, but it's the Pulsar 1 plus, which has a different connection scheme

cheers, tom

^Thanks for your replies, gentlemen!

Think I have to write to tech support since I have only the classic version.
Or: Just leaving out the ground-pin?

Jan

well, it's not that difficult - just multimetered one of mine

if you look from the soldering side of the connector (from behind), then
the bottom row is not connected
top row from left to right (9 to 1)
analog in L, in R, out L, out R, dig in, dig out, midi through R, out R, in R
middle row 3 rightmost (12 to 10)
midi through L, out L, in L
all ground lines to the shield of the connector

the L and R in midi mean the left and right pin beneath the middle one, if seen from behind

happy soldering, Tom
...you'll know why that thing costs 50 Euro afterwards
