Ok why cant i get this simple setup too work

i got cubase running a few VSTs while it sends a Sync signal too my Korg EMX groovebox.
And the sound from cubase is send too channel 1 one the Scope 1632 mixer and korg emx on channel 2 soo there should be no delay on the korg.
But..... its not synced at all and i been trying too turn direct monitoring on and off. Infact if Direct monitoring is on then the sync is worse than if it was off, but no matter what i select or so then its never synced

Am i misunderstanding something or ?

i beg you pls help me
im going nuts soon if i dont find the problem....

Hi,

Direct monitoring is useful for signal entering Cubase to be heard without latency. If I understand your config, you don't need direct monitoring (Vsti signals goes out to the scope mixer and the Korg goes to the mixer directly, then your mixer output to your monitor).
The timing difference seems related to midi to audio latency, not strictly audio related. I think you should check your midi config in cubase (emulated port, enable system timing in the ASIO panel,...) to compensate this

Cheers

well here is my stuff

Scope Prof (15 DSP)
Acess Virus TI
Roland V-Synth-XT
Korg EMX and ESX grooveboxes.
and a M-audio midi sport 8x8

and i want all this too play real time into scope mixer since korg emx can be used as step sequencer for my virus ti and v-synth
soo just with my korg emx i could play a drum kit and then let it play 5 melodys where lets say 3 of em is for my virus ti and 1 for v-synth and one for minimax in scope

soo now while this is running i want a cubase recording too play along with it

and here it fucks up since
the recordig dont sound synced

with the rest of the synth
and i tryed where cubase did half of the midi sequencing and my korg the rest of the midi
and as soon i added a loop i know normal fits then audio loop is out of sync
and same with VST instruments

is it just me that too stupid
cuzz realy everything is sync untill ASIO comes into the setup

when i just use the midi of cubase then i got no problems but as soon i playback of a audio track or a VST together with the new stuff i typed in on the grooveboxes
then it its not synced

Well, the recordings that come out of Cubase are going to go thru ASIO and thus suffer the ASIO latency.

Direct monitoring isn't going to help this at all, since it *only* works when monitoring an ASIO input, not for stuff that you have recorded in Cubase.

The simplest way to fix this would be to use the STM2448, since it has delay settings for each channel. This would let you delay all your outboard gear by 1 ASIO-latency-buffer-size, so that they are in sync with your recordings coming from Cubase.

just monitor on the scope mixer, NOT through cubase, and this won't be an issue.

Absolutely...

I dont think that ASIO latency has anything to do with his problem... I suspect that it is Cubase's MIDI (sync signal) that may be loose.
How exactly do you sync the two? Maybe you are doing something wrong.

Furthermore, is MIDI working ok in Cubase? Or do you get early notes when you record?

It might be your asio sync on cubase, the buffer size on a creamware play/rec should be 5292 samples.go into asio multimedia setup in the cubase menu.choose advanced option.your buffer size is probably wrong, causing sync drops, run a simulation. It could be that.
