Not such an Earth Shattering event on its own, but his kid is twelve years old. Check them double-bass beats!

Whoa

Is he human?!
That's very well done for a 12 year old who can play such complicated drum patterns. Respect!

@ Hubird: some of these video hosting sites can block you depending on where (in the world) you are. I know that e.g. google's video site does this...on another forum, somebody posted a motorbike-related video link which she could see (from Holland), but nobody in the UK could.

I just checked it again by the way, worked OK for me over 'ere in the UK.

EDIT: maybe it's a Mac v. PC issue?

@ Counterparts, yes I know that of Google, but I live in Holland, not in China
Mac vs. pc, that could be, I just tried again and it seemed to load, but...no, IE freezed at the end.
Oh well, not that bad, I normally hate those wonderboys

How amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the most important fact here is that it is “MUSICAL” to say the least. He’s not playing cold, death patterns, but expressing absolutely mature hits… THIS is most amazing. Technical potential is something is available to anybody willing to rehearse hard enough, but will most probably never transmit anything but noise… But talent is not something you can work on, this kid has a barely credible talent!

If he can do this at 12 years old, he’s going to become of the greatest drummers of all times… He actually plays better and in a “precise rhythmic” way beyond most drummers I’ve heard, I mean, professional guys with about 30 years of drumming experience. I can’t believe he can play with such precision on accents, they are all perfectly well cut… This is hard to listen even in the most developed of drummers, and it comes with much time.

Of the things this kid has not yet, is some good muscles to accompany, but, what is going to happen with they come up and grow… Of course, his character is still to be formed, again, what is going to happen in just about 5 years.

Life has too many surprises; sometimes they are good, sometimes they are bad. I hope for this little fusion fellow guy to never fall into the hell of drugs and other killers, so his potential can become to its full.

He has already a good friend as you can see:

What is amazing is that anyone still owns a D-50 which is almost as old as his hair style.
