Within a week work I composed an atmospheric sculpture that last for aprox. one hour without a break.
I used much creamware modular devices as the AmbiToSphere box, samples, field recordings and other instruments and divided the atmo into four sections/moods.

After this we started a session to overdub our usual improvisational music. Nobody has heard the atmo before.
So of course few accidents happen in this track but overall it will take you on an ambient journey through experimental sounds, moods and emotions.

I really like the result of this project I´ve started and will continue it.

!Track lasts for 1h 06min and is 91.2MB in size!

you sampled my track, right

I could be mistaken, but I'm sure I heard one of my samples near the end. It's a rather distinguished sound, even amongst noise

(sorry in advance if I'm mistaken, don't be offended)

Cheers,
Shroomz

Yes I am offended because you used my AmbiToSphere modular device, perhaps and you do not remember.

Seriously, sampling tracks from other would be really boring, or?

Chris, I haven't used **ANY modular devices in tracks yet. Shamefully I haven't even tried the modular device you mention.

As for sampling other peoples tracks:- well I don't mind personally. If the sample is unrecognisable, it's like whatever, right? But then if it IS recognisable (as was what sounded like one of my CAT samples near the end of your track) .... erm a credit may occassionally be in order, but it's a pretty grey & muddy area which isn't a problem, more of a respectful gesture I suppose. Although, It would probably be ludicrous to credit all samples used in a track. Or would it?

Well, I can promise that I haven´t used your track, that´s a hap that we have used the same sound or nearly the same sound.
We often have those accidents in the spheric lounge sessions. Somebody starts to play something and you can´t figure out what strange sounds comes out of your gear, because you play the same but with other sounds.

BTW which track of yours do you mean, I want to compare the sound you´ve mentioned.

According to credit used samples.
When I bought a sample library or an instrument I don´t type down credits that I´ve used this or that from etc..

I´ve paid to use the stuff they sell, when they want to be mentioned in every track, this is similar like doing promotion for their stuff and then I can expect money from them, not the other way around. At least that´s my personal opinion.

Things change when it gets more into a privat atmosphere, like hear on Z.
Lets say I make a sound with Nestors Bass library or post somewhere a Starchaser track, I´ll always credit Nestor or Neil.

To make it short, see it as a funny accident.

No worries Chris. Like I said, I don't mind anyway, even if someone does sample something I've recorded. In this case I'm sure you're right & the mistake is all mine

So what did you mean about me using your modular device ?

Just a bad joke, to figure out why we have the same sound in our tracks and give back a not serious offence. Sorry for any stress I´ve probably occured.

Hey .. no stress

About your track Christian. You should be releasing this music, even if just from a small label of your own. CD's are only 10-20 cents each these days

It's a real pleasure to listen to your work. It should probably be in the shops
