Ok, so there wasn't really any alien intervention... or was there
apologies for my ear bashing unmusical experiments

Hey Shroomz - i like it.
But i would like to hear it without the drumloop - it gets in the way for me, makes the tweakwork harder to listen to.
Maybe you could vocode those drums onto some sort of fu**ed up synth to take their predictability away - i dunno.
rock on, bruz

I think this approach would work if you built some sort of cohesive language out of the tweaks. Not necessarily a rigid structure, but something that the listener can hook on to in terms of cognition. It seems like there's a certain zone in the high end that is especially distorted. Maybe focusing on different frequency bands can add some more variation. Otherwise the sound gets monotonous since it's stimulating a specific zone more than the others.
Otherwise, if you want to go down the incohesive lane, then the drums are kind of out of context. Could work in both ways. Cool sounds tho. Broken, but not in an "old sci-fi movie" sort of way.

Thanks for your comments guys.
The basic design brief I set myself was to produce a tempoless track which fluently & monotonously goes from a 120 break into a pitched up drum & bass style break (without the D&B cliches) The SCI Pro-One is loosely swinging (unsynced) & being tweeked around the break whilst being fed & fedback through Infiltrator with L & R F/back tweaks through much of the track & some amp-sim FX to mess it more. There's live synth parts & sampled synth parts & tweaks. It's purely experimaental & was done really quickly, so I must apologise again if you find it unlistenable. I dunno, is there a place for monotonous breaks speeding up this way with sheer madness replacing current musical conceptions & methods? That was the approach. Maybe with some more detailed work & more musical coherence I could be onto a personal style.
Anyway, thanks again for commenting guys. I'm quite pleased that someone actually liked it

There's definitely a "place" ( or quite a few places) for this type of music - and one of them is here

I most mostly impressed with all the tweaks, filtering and feedback things going on - but I have to say that the drum loop just got in the way - just an overall feeling and not really a criticism - more of a personal taste thing.
cheers
DANGER DANGER.... ALIENS APPROACHING....
Just as an aside - my dog bit me when I listened to your track this morning. Not sure if it's a coincidence or the high frequency response

Yeah... O.K - my dog bites me a lot - she's a pup

you guys have all commented on the break not working here & I actually totally agree, so I'm gonna start over with this from scratch with a different concept in mind while maybe doing another, more musical version of this 'speed up' concept. I'm thinking it could even be a new genre (ie every track speeds up over it's length with no fixed tempo)

I think tracks that speed up could be awsome for DJ's in clubs. You'd have to have a mixing period of static tempo at the beginning & end or just noises/ambience or both. mmm
@Blgrace ... It could be the silent dog whistle samples
Cheers all

Does anybody remember a tv advert which has a 80's pop group singin,"Alien Invasion,What on erff a we gonna do?",I think it was Kit Kat and the record producer says, after the Kit Kat, "it's gonna be a hit."

Actually it's great you could probably put heavier drum over the top of it in the middle with it going between the existing beats. No it's fine.
