Hi guys, this isn't so much a huge problem as it is an annoynace.

Anyway, my system is pretty much flawless. I never have any problems at all. The only thing is, if I leave a project in cubase on overnight,(or for a few hours or so), when I come back and play the song, it crackles and pops like its about to blow.

Now this never happens any other time. If i click reset in the "asio scope" section of cubase, sometimes this resolves the problem but not always. A lot of times, i have to shut cubase down and restart. I do not put the computer into hibernate or any other unusual power management settings. My monitors are schedueled to turn off after two hours. Think that could be it?

Anyone ever experience this problem?

So, don't let him alone anymore;

Seriously now:

At first view, I think you should provide more information about your system.

It may be ASIO related, as you yourself say that sometimes you can fix it through it.

Question: does it happens when your system is idle only, or it may happen while you are using it after a few hours?

ASIO drivers like to fly away ... It's annoying, but I made the experience, that after a few hours it's better to restart the whole system incl. rebooting!

This is true Herr Voigt sometimes I go on the internet, and the asio synchronization goes out of the window try it,run an asio sync simulation you lose buffers depending on the internet download or upload charge.
