I use Pulsar2 on the same PC and WinXP since more than two years. I never had any problems, but since some months there is a strange phenomenon : Clicks and pops with asio playback and recording within Cubase SX2 and SX3.

It is NOT related to one of the following issues : ulli latency, ram, cpu, too much midi information. Clicks can occur even in a very LIGHT project : e.g., a SINGLE track and a SINGLE vst instrument played with the keyboard.

It seems rather a communication problem between Pulsar2 and Cubase. But the latest version of Scope is installed and in Cubase uses the driver "ASIO Scope" as it is supposed to do.

When I make a Cubase project without any ASIO (no audio, no vst instruments) then I don't have any problem.

The PC is well tweaked for audio, most of the Creamware recommandations are implemented. I don't think that I have changed anything before the problem appeared.

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance, Bernhard

You could first try to defrag your audio HD and re-install your graphic drivers. Both of these things can have such an effect, the first one it's easy to understand, the second one I can't explain exactly, but ther is a form of corruption after a while, I noticed it in years.
