Hi,

When I use a VST-soft-sampler as an insert for a midi-channel in Nuendo, I get an instant feedback-loop. The problem only occurs with samplers, not with VST-synths. I'm running ASIO-scope with one stereo output.

Does anyone recognise this problem?

thanx

Well I have the problem with all vst-samplers (Kontakt, Halion, PhatmaticPro), and not with any vst-synth. I use the samplers the same as any vst-synth, I load a sampler as an insert for a MIDI-channel, as I normally would do with a softsynth. I'ts the first time I use samplers in NUENDO, so maybe it's a common issue??

The Samplers are routed the same as the softsynths. At first sight I cannot detect another output within the software... but the feedback-loop problem remains!

No, this problem is not common at all. In Nuendo or Cubase.

Have you tried changing the samples location? I mean, loading the samples from a different HD or CD? Try this.

If all samplers do the same, the problem is not a particular VST sampler, at least, you can descard it.

Sometimes a VST can colide with others, particularly the bad, cheap VST synths or effects that we sometimes install inadvertly, and then put our hands in the head! Have you lately installed some cheapy VST?

Try improvising with as many routing posibilities as posible from SCOPE and Nuendo, till you find something anusual.

Rebuild the busses that you created.

Go to the Steinberg Nuendo, login and download some sharing templates, with different configurations, adapt them to SCOPE, and try again.

Well... this are the ideas I've got that I would do to try solving the problem. Good luck
