This is my first song posting so be gentle. I wrote this (very early in the morning) after I'd been teaching myself to fingerpick on the guitar. My daughter liked it so I named it for her. The drums are played by a retired mechanic called Trevor and the bass is the work of a frozen vegetable-delivery man by the name of Dave. The guitar solo has been heavily chopped up but was originally played by a different Dave - who sells carpets and other floor coverings. Hope you all like it. Any comments (positive or otherswise) gratefully received.

has a nice feel. You can beef up the harmonies a bit, especially in terms of chord quality variations. But without being over ambitious, I think the piece is nice.

Makes me want to get out of the house and enjoy some nice out door air! which is good!

Thanks for your nice comments kensuguro. Listening to your music and other postings on this site I can see I have a long catch-up however. Apart from the scrappy playing, my posting sounds flat and brittle compared to most of the other music on this site. I wonder what I'm doing wrong...

Nice guitar recording and picking. I'm a sucker for those open ringing tones. Very pleasant and lazy summery feel.
Is it just me or is this tune just screaming for a vocal "la la la la" phrase ? - no words - just la's
How old is Nell? maybe she could do some "la la work"
That reverb snare that comes in after the solo, maybe tone it down a bit for continuity of the lazy summery feel.
Cheers

Thanks for your comments. I might try and put some singing on it, if I can think of a tune. In terms of remixiing that is not now possible. I recorded the tune on an old computer which has now broken - I lost everything I did on it, including the cubase and audio files for Nell's tune (along with many others). All I have now are the mixes on CD. Pity, but in some ways quite refreshing as I can start again with a clean slate...

Sorry to hear you lost your files - that sucks.
Been through that as well - and as you say - if a tune's worth doing - it's worth doing again from scratch

good luck
