It's a cool virtual desktop and work very well with windows XP,nothing problem in audio stream swithing to one desktop to another,If you use it i council to create a Real desktop not Virtual and set in the wizard configuration setup to visualize the windows shell in every desktop:
in the setting wizard arrive in to window called:"various parameters" and clik in :"parameters of the computer and the virtual screen" and open dialog box:"VDT like integrate shell" and enable: run windows shell

I have traslate the option from italian language

I love this virtual desktop , i have only one monitor 17" and have create 4 desktop:scope, sequencer, rewire, bowser to have every app in every desktop, the swithcing don't cause problem with audio stream and the program is better than reduce app to win bar,is full integrated with win xp,very cool for me :8)

Have you tried the remote function? If yes, how it works in term of latency and quality of the streaming?

yes, german localisation of technical items is a true pita
I frequently have to re-translate the non-sensemaking term back to english to guess it's meaning
