I don't remember if this problem was covered somewhere here (and I really don't know what to search exactly to find a solution to my problem). When I build a project containing a mixer (I tried it with the 2448 and the 1632 mixers) and when I insert an effect in a channel panel all my settings return to default after I reload SFP. I noticed it after upgrading to 4.5. Do you have any clue how to solve it? I found a workaround to make a preset for the mixer and it restores my settings this way. The same devices behave properly when just loaded out of mixer. You know I'm on a Mac.

was you able to install 4.5?? on mac?
what settings are you exactly talking about? the insert stuff?

I installed only 4.5 devices and took 'by hand' the startup logo. Yes, I talk about the inserts.

I encountered big troubles for a few days, it seemed like everything got worse on my system.
Internet functions like 'save for web' in Word and closing down IE, etc. caused system freezes.
And SFP loaded the default project in a strange way, showing a double background and vertical positioned (!) buttons upper right.

I was afraid for virus attacks on my router, or even on my mac, causing system functions to degrade...

The only thing I changed lately was installing the new devices of Scope 4.5 and copying the new startup logo.
I also copied that Solaris file into the dsp folder, see my post.

I let it go for a few days, trying to get a feeling where the fire was burning, as I don't like it to mess around with re-installs of programs or (clean) system installs.
I trust my system, and simple solutions are the best

Anyway, all these strange problems (I just named a few) were solved by one move: I renewed the cset.ini file by the backup of it that I always make after installing Scope.

I don't have any idea why it got corrupted, but it did I guess.
Man, how can this cset file make other programs freeze the system when addressing internet functions...

So maybe this can help you out.
The inserts are still saved as normal here, so it should work with you also

It didn't work in my case but I found it relaxing to reinstall Scope from scratch

I still don't know the reason but I have to confess that I did many experiments on the previous 4.5 install. I installed almost all the oxes one by one to observe which one installs what plugins. There is a useful tool on MacOS to label a file (folder) with a colour so the icon is coloured with a certain colour. This makes possible to see which files are overwritten by a particular installer and now I know which oxes are suitable for my keys. But it costed the odd behaviour of Scope in the end...

It works, or it doesn't, for you, for me, and for the rest of the world
It's Creamware or it's Apple to solve the problem, and it definitely is not the powersupply or my mother(board) who's to blame.
