i use 1 scope pro + 1 pulsar2.
because of motherboard limitations i have to place the 6dsp card 1st on the 2nd pci slot and the 14dsp card 2nd on the 4th pci slot.
the dsp meter shows me the small card 1st and in order to change this i did what manual says.
in the cset.ini file i wrote:
[board0]
boardid=1
[board1]
boardid=0
so i made the 14dsp card the 1st one.
the problem now is that sometimes after i turn on the pc even with this entry in the cset file, system sees pulsar2 as the first card, then i have to erase what i typed in cset file in order to make scope 14dsp the 1st again. after a few restarts the 1st card changes again......and again what is this?????
:???:
i want i stable setting for the big card to be set as the 1st without switching all the time.
how can this happen?

Sounds to me like something is shuffling your PCI cards around. Your APIC controller? Do you change other peripherals periodically?

no.
i have installed xp on standard pc and i have made irq 11 for both cards from bios.
i do not have irq conflicts.

It still seems like something is changing the order in which the driver 'sees' the cards. What Scope version are you using?

scope 4.5
it happened and before with 4.0(which is the same)
strange.

have you checked the irq's of the cards before and after the problem has appeared?

if you are in acpi mode,
try to uninstall one of the 2 cards and reinstall it until each card get its own irq.

i have put first the pulsar2 on the 2nd pci slot and under it the scope 14dsp on the 4th pci slot.
these slots do not share with other stuf.
unfortunatelly i cannot put the big one up because of its length and there is no space because of the hd's.
strange that this twisting happens.
it happens on this os that i use for tests and internet.
it also happened once on the os i use for music only in another hd, but now it is ok since i changed the cset.ini setting.
what about this hd and os?
confused..............................

Isn't it recommended to put the cards in the first and third PCI slots?

they say that the first slot shares with agp. and i have seen from bios that the slots i choose do not share irqs with other device.
for example, my 5th pci slot shares with usb.

do you think that it might be that both creamware cards share irq11?
