I'm getting so frusterated with trying to create a MIDI controller preset. I'm using a UC-33e and I can never get all of the controls of a synth mapped. I can get about 75% of the controls mapped, but then the other 25% just never save right. For example, I just got finished mapping most of the controls for B-2003. I stored the preset and saved the preset file. Then I went to map the rest of the controls, and after saving, they didn't retain their settings. So I figure it's a bug in the program and I need to map and save all at once. So I made a new MIDI controller preset and mapped all at once and saved the file. Guess what? Still doesn't work. The buttons seem to be the most notorious for losing their values, but some of the knobs lose them as well. It seems the controls I map last are the ones that don't save properly. Anyone else have issues with mapping controls to the UC-33e?
Thanks,
Chisel
P.S. I just read a post from June 2002 where the user had the SAME problem as me. Is this a bug that was never fixed??

I just did some further troubleshooting tonight. It seems that the switches and main volume are the controls that never get saved. At least, this is the pattern I've seen with Pro-12, Minimax, and B-2003. I'm sending an email to Creamware with this defect.

it's ok for me.
I've tried to store more settings in one shot and the preset recall is perfect.
But i've never done a full recall of a device, just some knob that i use in realtime....

i've done now a test with b 2003, assigning all controls of the first panel and i've found the only controls not stored after the recall are the rotor fast/slow switch and the drive output knob.
A little bug

That's what I've found also. The switches and main volume are never saved. I sent a defect report to Creamware. Meanwhile, this weekend, I'll try to find a workaround. It depends on if it's on the controller side or the software side. Have you tried assigning a knob to the rotor switch and see if it retains the setting?

yes,
i've done a test storing just the rotor switch to controller, but after recalling it does not work

So it is a software issue. Why can't they just make the presets editable text files so we can fix it ourselves. Maybe I'll open it in a hex editor and see if I can fix it manually
BTW, I tried manually setting the MIDI CC# instead of learning the control and it STILL doesn't save it.
