Hello again,
I have reinstalled Scope and also XTC Mode, now this time I have noticed a thing that was different to my previous installation. It is a box that comes up called "XTC IO ENABLER". It asks/says the following:
"My Creamware Card has no IO
My Creamware Card has IOs Enable ASIO DRIVERS" so I tick the box (as I have ASIO Drivers I guess).
Then it goes on to say (and this is the bit I am unsure about):
"Enable Wave Drivers (In/Out- Channels)
Always Open Wave Devices (please disable for Logic Audio Windows 9x only)
(I use Win XP Pro so I guess that is irrelevant to me isn't it?)
"Enable Midi Drivers"
"Logic Audio+Wave Optimisation"
At first I didn't enable Wave Drivers so my default projects in Scope didn't open and it gave me a message along the lines of do I want Windows to install them. In the end I uninstalled Scope and reinstalled again but this time I enabled the wave drivers and in the IN/OUT bit I chose 8 of them. I don't know why, but I did and I can't remember how many channels. This time my default project opened up properly.
My question are:
Why do I have to enable Wave Drivers? How many of them should I enable and how many channels? As I said I took a stab at 8 but don't ask me why. And seeing I use XP Pro was I right in leaving "Always Open Wave Devices" ticked?
Thanks and my apologies if the questions are too banal and maybe for some of you to obvious an answer, but I would realy appreciate your comments.
