Hi Guys,
I received my serial number.
The instructions say to drag the plug-ins into the routing window.
Then input the serial number and you are supposed to get kind of key that you send back to them.
I tried to do this and they told me that my response string or whatever it is was too short.
Am I supposed to do it for each plug-in separately or what.
If so this is rediculous.
regards,
Jimi

Hi Jimi,
If I am correct, you received a SERIAL string from Sonic timeworks.
For registering your software:
launch one of your fx
You'll get a screen requesting you to enter an Activation Key
Select your hardware board, then enter your serial in the SERIAL entry (the upper one
You'll get a REQUEST string as < XXX-XXX-... >
Send this key to Sonic Timeworks
They'll send you the ACTIVATION KEY that you will enter in the ACTIVATION KEY entry.
Michel

that SERIAL number in the first mail one receives from SonicTimeworks is (obviously) generated by their shop software (for whatever reason).
It has nothing to do with the registration of SFP plugins.
The procedure is exactly like Michel described it.
You only need one 'request string' and should receive several keys in return - there could be a dely due to all those Scope 4.5 registrations.
Afaik there is only one single key generating server (located at CWA), so all 3rd parties have to transmit your string to CWA and receive the result which they pass on to you.
This can be as fast as within a couple of hours, usually it's handled within one day, but it could also take a few more if there is heavy traffic.
It may read a bit strange, but that's the reason why the system isn't cracked yet (afaik). One can NEVER watch the complete process to track it down...
cheers, Tom
