i read a guy were shot on an airplane in Miami after claiming he had a bomb i his hand luggage. thank god there were multiple armed officers onboard who put an end to this ill mans life, otherwise the passengers would probarly hold him doen until a swat team blew the plane to pieces, killing each and every passanger and crew.

PS. No explosives were found.

I wouldn't put this as a 'PS', as it exactly states the drama...

I feel sorry for the guy who was shot.. He was bipolar and did not have his medication, is what I hear from the news. It's wierd.. didn't the marshals have enough intelligence to know that no one is interested in bombing Miami? Especially because it's not America but more SOUTH America?

You know, I've recently come to realize that too many people have too many guns in Florida. Or in the south in general.. or probably the red states. I dunno. A friend just asked me the other day if I had a gun, and he was very surprised that I didn't have one, or knew how to shoot one.

Also, too many people join the army around here. Actually, all the men that I've come to know in Miami have been involved with the military, or still active in duty. It's sad because for many in Miami, and I can easily imagine for the other rural states, because the army is the only organization that has a well planned structure to it. In a place full of individually owned businesses, you either start one yourself (because no one believes in anything but being self employed), or go the army. Where as it would probably be a corporate business in the more hussle-bussle states, the army is where people are gathered.

Now, when you have an extremely high percentage of trained armymen walking about the streets, it's easy to understand why people would like guns. Why? Why don't you carry a gun in your glove compartment?

I was thinking about the brouhaha regarding torture. Why is torture so wrong when it is perfectly Okay to shoot people with machine guns and blow them up with bombs dropped from thousands of feet in the sky? It's legal to kill anyone if you are the government, even the innocent bystanders but just don't torture anyone because that would be wrong.

Just and afterthought to my post:

If a person is sentenced to death and after the fact it turns out that he was innocent, then the entire jury and the judge should be executed.

I just thought I'd say that I've started three posts, none of which I've finished because I'm so disgusted. All I have to say is that if you want to deal out your own law,buy a gun.

eyewitness reports AND the airmarshalls themselves have since said that all the guy did was try to leave the plane. he NEVER said anything about a gun. what is this place turning into?

Security forces all over, especially on airports, have grown a lot in numbers over the recent years, and they are very tense. They lost their sense of humor, especially for 'jokes' like the one that man was playing.

I think that was a very unfortunate accident. If anything but his pills could have saved him, it would have been a notification to the crew of that plane.

My 2cents,

nope, the "security forces" even smashed another passenger's cell phone when he tried to tell his wife about the scene and pointed weapons at passengers heads telling them "don't look or we'll kill you.".

believe it or not.

who are the terrorists?

a side note showing just how thick the lies are, on the fateful 9/11, they tell us of cell phone calls to loved ones on the doomed flight that supposedly fought back("let's roll"), but cell phones don't work on planes in the air......

Killing is wrong. There is no justification to kill another human being. There always is a choice. Those who say they have no choice are simply lying.

Security people are tense, and sadly they make mistakes. Mentally ill people can behave in unpredictable or alarming ways. And terrorists don't seem to do much training in peaceful negotiation ..... seems like a lose/lose situation to me.

why are they tense? they are many, many more times(i believe that the odds were figured at some 900 or so to 1)more likey to be involved in a crippling car accident than ever meeting a "terrorist".....maybe we should shoot cars.....

They are probably tense because they are worried they'll f*4k up.
