i have a question about my B2003. I cannot write the number of voices (polyphony). That means that this plug in consumes drastically my dsp power as the "voices" section cannot be changed.... any idea? Is it normal?

91 voices for around two dsp - fixed i believe.

i do not remember there was a pb with this device. when i say that it consumes dsp power, i mean i would like to decide the polyphony in order to curb the dsp need depending on the project. Is there a way to fix this problem as i have used the scope 4 CD installation (i suppose that is the last versions of B2003).

The B2003 has not a polyphony management like the other synths, the full polyphony it is fixed to doesn't have a role on the dsp usage, it's the structure that has it's weight.

thank you for this reply. I did not know that this feature (choice of the number of voices) was not available. Nevertheless, you are right : i do love this synth considering the dsp usage !!!!

Well, if you use all 91 voices, then the DSP-usage is Quite low...
It depends on how you look at it.

So could I load it on a Scope home?

i think so. barely.

Lagoausente, B-2003 plus a stereo 'channel' strip will use approx' 75/80 percent of a 3 chip card's dsp power, while B-2003 plus an STM 1632 mixer will only just load on 3 dsps.

I always load up the heaviest DSP consuming synths first, for B2003 always seems to find a way to squeeze itself in after I make sure all my modulation FX, mixer, and synths, can fit. It has to be the most efficient synth ever made in terms of DSP usage. Not to mention an excellant tonewheel model. I use to have a real B3 with 2 x 147 Leslie cabinets, and have much more control of sound than I had then. However, I still use a real rotary tube cabinet from Motion Sound which really helps out for the extra ooommpphh, and realism. I would have laughed 2 years ago before I went to rackmounted DAW's, if someone told me they had an acurate emulation with a DAW. Now I laugh everytime I call it up, as I still have fond recollections of my road crew lifting off the heavy Anvil case and rolling that FAT BASTARD out to the stage for an hour or so. I can't imagine ever using a B3 Hammond ever again, as the management said I could purchase it during the equipment liquidation process, with the cases and Leslies for a mere 8000 USD. I told them to give my DAW a listen through the Pro 3t. They failed to find the humor in my remarks. I'm sure they stuck it in a church somewhere for a decent ROI.
