what is the problem?
now that i try to concentrate in serious work it drives me crazy.
pc restarts in the middle of something.
too unstable.
if i load a plugin i must be very carefull for the order putting anotherone in the vst folder of nuendo.
i use 24bit asio in 48khz
standard pc again............. or help me.
if i unload nuendo and try to load it again sometimes i asio stops and system is ready for shut down.
please tell me how to make it stable without being afraid of the order that i load plugins.
nuendo
propellerhead
fruity loops
other vst plugins

Can you track what changes the system went thru until the time of the crash??

from what you noted above it could be anything.

well.
fl studio seems more stable than nuendo in vst's and in genaral i can say.
what happens is that there must be a problematic plugin that when i load it after a while it causes asio to turn off and the system will restart or sometimes freeze.
if i am very carefull this will possibly won't happen, but it is very difficult to be all the time so carefull. it makes me tired.
by carefull i mean that i will not load any synth that does not work for ex.
but lets say that i have a vst instrument that i try to load via nuendo and the instrument does not work or i loaded a false bank from another instrument,.. why should i see the system collapse?
i want to make it more stable.
do you believe that if i turn on virtual memory again might help?
i have 2 gigs.
abit ic7g. 478 soccet. prescott 3.0
asus ax800pro video card. xp pro. sp1.
scope pro 14dsp + pulsar2 6dsp.
it happens on 120g sata on sillicon 3112 which i use for tests and internet and all my audio, and the same happens on sata raid0 with 2 raptors 10000 that i use without any internet or games or other stuff, on ichr5 audio only and
disabled almost anything unimportand, usb's... onboard controllers etc...
so i don't think it is irq problem.
told you happens when asio stops,(samplerate seems ok though in scope) but the other plugins report " no audio"
if i am fast enough sometimes i forse it not to happen by entering quickly to task manager and turning off nuendo or fl.
is there a problem with scopes 24bit asios?
i use 24bit asios 16 in/out 2448 mixer.

I've seen some behavior like this and I believe it relates to 16-bit v. 24-bit driver issues.

For example, if I switch Virsyn Cube in standalone mode from a 16-bit WAV default, to a 24-bit ASIO2, it will take down my machine. The easy workaround for that case for me is to use the WAV driver in Scope.

Note: Ableton Live! has not been doing this in my case. So if I run Virsyn Cube within Ableton, I don't have any of these issues.

Other workaround I can see is to work in 16-bit, but that seems kind of a drag. I tend to think that all of this is a side effect of poorly coded apps that make assumptions about driver wordlengths when they are switching driver models... but that's just my guess...
