Hello,
Suddenly midi devices are not showing up neither under Cubase SX3 nor under Cubase 5
I tried the IOenabler but I guess that is for XTC only.
Any help ?
Regards,
Dimitrios

If it's just happened suddenly try just re-starting Cubase. If that doesn't work, try re-booting the system. Should work then if this hasn't happened since installing new hard or software. If it still doesn't work & you use an external midi interface, try switching it off & back on. Problem solve the situation a little then come back with more detailed information for us if you're still having problems.

Hi,
Thanks for your prompt reply.
I tried the above but no cure.
I have even installed a previous ghost but the same.
Only a ghost image of 3 months old recovered the midi drivers.
I guess it has something to do with midioverlan although this old ghost image also contains the midioverlan.
Maybe some hardware I put and took out don't know.
I wonder though why can this not be fixed (easily) ?
I tried scope reinstall.
Cleared the SFP4 folder and installed again but nothing...
I guess I will have to use this old ghost again.
If I find what is causing it I will let you know.
regards,
Dimitrios

Man, if you're at the stage of ghosting the system, why not re-install the lot. It'll be worth it. Just don't forget to backup your relevant C drive data, llke, address book, browser 'bookmarks' etc

Hi,
Reinstalling the whole thing is a NOT FOR ME matter gain.
I have to find all these things I use again, drivers for all cards, xp optmization things etc.
Ghost is the most fastest way to restore all your data reliable.
I wonder why not everyone uses this.
It has saved my ass several times...

Dimitrios
