Hi all, I posted this question before but I'm still searching for an ampsimulator. I liked the idea of Pulsar as a virtual studio but the emphasis seems to be on analogue synths now (very nice also) but I miss amps, more like line6's ampfarm/pod, for guitar and bass. I know the ones Ingo Raven did and I'm grateful for those but it's not really enough. And then another thing, maybe Creamware should talk to Sonic Foundry to get a version of acoustic mirror for Pulsar.

Hi Erik
Personally I haven't found any "virtual" solution to this within Pulsar/Scope that is quite right.I don't know if you can stretch to an outboard solution but if you can I myself would go with Sansamp.I have both a Pod Pro and the Sansamp PSA-1.They're both good but I find the Sansamp has more "grit" and "valviness"and I use it on almost everything(no digital out though).
I know www.dspdev.com have a distortion unit and a valve pre amp emulator for Pulsar which can be downloaded as a demo(I know it's not an amp simulator but it gives you some "grit"and warmth).Maybe that could be a way forward.It's a shame that we have nothing like Line 6's amp farm or Bomb Factory's Sansamp emulation available to us on this platform,but maybe in the future,something!

Subject: ähm... amp? what about a complete rack, modular like pulsar?

ok, nothing within pulsar, but did you see the 'ReValver' from alien connections? (-> directxfiles.com)

look´s fingerlicking good, and contains preamps, comps, fx, speaker-sims, and and and... a whole rack, which you can fill with things you like to have in your signal path...
a little bit like pulsar [;

i have just downloaded it yet, i´ll have look (hear) on it this weekend.

gruß,
Mo

p.s. perhaps alien connections could realize similar things for our platform? "sooner or later, time will tell..." [;

I'm definitely gonna try it out, but indeed it should be in Pulsar so you can just hook it up like an ordinary amp. And I only downloaded the demo so I hope the limitations won't be too annoying.

Subject: VTube 1.5 and Disto 1.1 ?

Do you mean the VTube 1.5 and Disto 1.1 ? I use the VTube together with Ingo Raven's ampsimulator but the Disto 1.1 only makes scary sounds (I must be doing something wrong. I downloaded it again just now,maybe it works this time ) I would like a simple design, just one fab thing with some knobs and presets instead of six different modules that are just not quite right. I thought about buying the pod but it's to expensive for me right now and I have never seen the other thing (sansamp) I'll check that out too.

Subject: got problems getting it run together with a sequencer

well, i´ve got problems getting it run together with a sequencer - running only with pulsar is fine.

perhaps we and some other who have or will download it can exchange experiences here...?
