hey y'all

I'll be straight up n honest here. The thread title says it all.
What Id like to ask is can some one please make a preset file for me that automates my STM1632 using cubase sx3, and tell me how to use it. Or a really simple description on how to do it. I read a version of it here but it was ober my head completely, so keep it real simple...

Ive looked at the remote contoller in scope and at the generic remote thing in SX (with all the flags n all) and I am so totally lost

anyway, any help here would be well appreciated. I can make the music, twiddle the knobs and generally move air reasonalby well(IMO) but these computer things, they beat me all the time

What I usually do is to connect the mixer midi in to the sequencer midi source (cubase midi output), assign a midi channel (usually 16),make a midi track in cubase on midi channel 16, then assign a different midi cc# to every fader or knob I need to automate (right click on the fader makes the controller pop up come out, if you have a hardware midi controller tweak it's fader/knob and click "+" button to confirm, otherwise open the second page clicking on the symbol at the right of "-" button, find the cc# you want to assign and double click on it).

At this point, drawing the assigned midi cc# on the controller lane in the midi track, or recording them with the hardware controller will automate the mixer.

That indeed doesnt seem all that hard. I couldnt understand it before, I wasnt sure how to assign numbers to the faders etc.
I think I've got it, now tho. My only expierince of tring to link MIDI before this was getting 2 Digitech guit processors work together, and they never did proplerly.
But I understand this now, fantastic.
Now all I gotta do i work out the mutli ASIO thing and Im away.....Oh yeh and buy more DSPs
