Anybody here using a Pulsar II with Project5 v2? I either get no sound at all or noise, depending on my source/dest modules. I started out with my tried and true project from Live and experimented from there with no success.
Thanks,
Chisel

Did you try the ASIO1 and the ASIO2 both? I think some apps can't do ASIO2... SoundOnSound says Project5 should support WAV or ASIO, and that guy did test with a Power Pulsar so one of those should work... As always, restart your Project5 if you switch the ASIO settings, since it will have to reread them.

Also, if you're using 24 bit audio, check the alignment settings in P5's audio options box (can't remember which settings you need to use offhand though). I've used P5 with a Pulsar II (ASIO) and it does work.

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate the help. When I set the alignment to LSB, I get no sound at all. When I set the alignment to MSB, I get muffled, sluggish sound bordering on noise. In fact, the whole program seems sluggish. Maybe it's a latency issue? The slider is greyed out and the ASIO button doesn't work.
Peace /
Chisel

The slider will be greyed out when using ASIO drivers in P5, and I don't think I've ever managed to get the ASIO button to work properly in anything with Pulsar
I'll check with my P5 later.
Can you try 16 bit ASIO drivers and 16 bit in P5?

I have the same problem at 16-bit. I figured out what the cause is -- Project5 doesn't appreciate I have my ULLI set to 4ms at 44.1Khz

I loaded a demo song and adjusted the ULLI setting in SFP and came up with these results:
4ms - 100% CPU
7ms - 63% CPU
13ms - 36% CPU
25ms - 25% CPU

I still haven't checked - had some recording work to do yesterday so was tied up with that. Will test this evening as I've got the time...watch this space!

No problem here at all - sorry I can't offer any better suggestions for now.
