This is the Thalamus duo, remixing another danish band called GÆSHUE.

This is absolutely the entry stage to the song, only very little have been done...still misses a verse, and a lot of instruments+the glue that keeps it all together. But still sounds very nice to my ears.

It's actually me, noah, singing in the verses, with the new antares VOX throat plugin, and waves pitchshift, and various fx, and tine on spooky organ.

Mixed in the superscopesystem, with lots of creamware and 3rdware plugz. 3-o-3 as uasual. Flexor is all over in da beatz.

Enjoy! and comment if you have something to say, before i destroy the whole thing with nice strings.

Hey Noah! Wicked tune. Textured the Thalamus way. Frankly, somewhat harsh to my sensitive hears. The strings might smooth up the whole a bit. I'm not sure what you're trying to achieve with this tune and your present artistic direction. I mean emotionally, what do you want to transmit to your public? What I receive is not a vibe I'm seeking in my life, what I sense from this piece is emotionally distorted and fairly tortured.

Sorry if I sound blunt... I deeply respect your talent and musicianship but I'll tell you something that might surprise you: A few years back you published a lovely solo piano tune here on Pz. Well, that piece really touched me, more than your recent super layered carved to the bone incredibly textured stuff. I know that its apples and oranges, but I feel that something essential and pure is lost through all this hyper processed sonic maelstrom.

You have an amazing talent with composition and music, that's obvious. Sometimes we search too far what is at hand and always was!

I allow myself to be honest with you because I respect you and I know you are open-minded enough to grasp my positive intentions!

Take care!

Etienne

Hi Etienne,

Thank you for your honestly, i apreciate that...and thank you for your nice words about me.

Well, I see the picture you are drawing, but I'm made of many layers, and I like so many things in terms of music, so it seems natural for me to be naked one day and multitextured another. I don't think I have a style in such, I just make what I hear in my mind, and what others inspire me to do.

The piano thing fx, was a specific piece I had to do for a film, so that's what it ended up with. Naked and bare. This is a remix of a kind of punkish/depeche mode style band, and hmmm...it works for me. I think it's grooving, and it's a little evil too and bites, sorry but I like that. Some things works for something, and reverse.

I don't think in contextual emotions when i improvise or produce, more in energy and basicly what sounds good to me.

So don't worry, I'm not lost in this direction, it's just a flirt...

Peace

Fantastic vocal processing, love it ! Nice sounds too.

I prefer the strangeness at the start though - it starts getting a bit more predictable toward the middle & end.
