I have found a reproducable bug in Prodyssey.

When playing polyphonic lines there is a subtle and thin distortion sound every now and then.

First, I thought something with my setup was wrong. I also re-installed Noah to make sure I didn't mess up the output settings etc.

In the meantime, I narrowed the issue down: The noise/distortion appears when notes with some release time are played in succession. It seems to have to do with voice stealing.

Can anyone confirm this?
The issue appears on all types of (factory) presets. But is especially noticable on sounds with less high frequency content.

try Factory 2 P103 Small Gong for example.

Preset 103 in Factory 2 on our EX FE is 'Solo Trombone'.

Also, are you running in multi or single mode & do you have anything else loaded ?

Might be noticing something similar, not sure yet.

I have to correct myself about the reproducability... It seems to be tied to certain conditions which I don't fully understand yet.

In any case, I running in Single mode, all DSP power assigned to one instrument.

Theissue is unique to Prodyssey, no probs with the other instruments.

I will post a audio file here.

So what's going wrong here? Any conclusions??

Yep, it's a bug by the sounds of it

We have the same results, but hadn't noticed, as we've been using it for mono leads & basses.

Maybe there's some bug fixes in the updated files. As mentioned on another thread there's been a recent update to all the Noah files on the ftp site.

we shall see

I'd send these to Creamware if i were you. Just explain the conditions etc & send them the samples asking if they can shine any more light on the problem.
