Hello fellow Pulsarians.

My history with Creamware hardware goes way back into the last millenium - so I own one ancient Pulsar card form 1999 with 4 DSPs and a Luna Card with 3 DSPs from 2001.

Here's my Problem: I wasn't able to make music for a couple of years and I'm just starting fresh. So I stuck my two cards in a new Computer and installed scope 4.0. The first thing I noticed was that many of the devices I knew from the earlier Softwareversions weren't there, like the Bigmixer and the DynamicMixer etc. I started to roam through my old installtion CDs to get the devices back ... then I found out that I own the Modular II and the Modular III but the Modular III seems to be missing a lot of it's components.

I must say that I am now completely confused about which devices I actually own and which I should use ... I looked on the creamware pages and there was no sufficient Information about this.

Is there any source of information about the different Software Versions (from Pulsar over SFP to now Scope) and their included devices and which are best to use from where?

And how can I get all the missing components into my Modular III?

Using a Pulsar1, you're entitled to the free update to Scope4.0. Visit the CW site, go to Downloads then select Scope4.0 on that page. This one contains the instructions on how to re-register to get Scope4 keys. That may sometimes take a couple of attempts, but once you see your Scope 4 registration keys on your My Page, you can install the Scope 4 software and new optional generated devices and register it on your machine.

BigMixer is way out of date, current mixer series are way more memory efficient for example. Depending on your optional device/packs registrations, you can use these mixers or free ones from the Device section here on planetz.

The Scope 4.0 hurdle I actually took already. Scope 4.0 is up and running - that's why I noticed the "missing" devices. From your information I assume that the missing devices are just out of date and replaced by better stuff - I just have to explore now.

you can use most of the older missing devices if you copy them over from the old install or the old installation disk. most aren't really worth saving though...
