Probably best to not bother you with irc & aim logs of our local trolls. Here's a link that's fast becoming 'international troll':

This thread is just TOO FUNNY!
Some guys just don't know when to quit and just go back to experimenting...

I did learn a few things though

He's for real, man - from what i gather he's got a 31-band eq that he manually fades up and down when certain frequencies get out of hand, like a manual multiband compressor. Ears the size of an elephant, lightning fast reflexes, and a look-ahead brain. Awesome

Whoot!

"Compression doesn't "tighten up dynamics" imbecile, it clips the peaks, period. If anything it softens dynamics by shaving the peaks off"

I learn so much coming here...

haha thanks for the link!

that mccheese guy is pretty funny..

"Syntrillium is saying that compression can be used to keep an input from clipping.

Your inferior thought process is not translating that correctly. I bet it comes out as something like "COMPRESSION GOOD, DYNAMICS BAD" before you get distracted by something shiny. "

for those who have worked in a music store, the insane conversation is a daily one.

Mistaking a limiter for a compressor is a good one.

He's pretty happy with his guitar sound and trolls his own thread as a result. God love him
