This is a great new!! I have bougth a new Scope project

Now, I have this Scope project and the Scope home. Reading the user manual for the hardware installation, a question has gone to me. How have I to install the software? In the same directory ( C:/ Scope) overwriting the two software´s cards or in diferents directories?

AFAIK you don't need to install your SFP software twice. Just put the cards next to each other in a PCI slot and make sure they don't share IRQs with other hardware.
Connect a STDM cable between the two cards (use the ends of the cable). The next time you start SFP, the 2nd card should be recognized automaticly and you have instant extra DSP power (and I/O's). You can check the DSP meter in SFP to make sure you have a total of 9 dsp's.
Maybe somebody can explain it better than me, I just think it should be something like this

The software to run the cards is the same, you can start placing the new card in a pci slot and connecting it with the other card using an STDM cable...it's a cable that connects the 2 cards together inside the case, so they are seen from the software as a single card with more dsp's and more I/Os. I don't know if they gave you this cable, usually you have to request it to your dealer or the distributor. It's indispensable.

After this you boot your PC and will be requested the drivers that will be found in the same directory where you found the other card's ones.

At this point you have the licence to use also all the plugin's that came with your project package, so you can reinstall the software on top of itself using the new keys and making the proper package choices during the install, in order to find the new stuff in the proper folders.
Remember to download your new keys from your personal page from CWA site, to add the new stuff.

i think scope home (eg luna)got the STM1632 and STM16S when the SFP 3.0 or 3.1 was released as a common platform.
But if you got older cards with
the luna software, trash it!

Think it's best to run the software install (over the existing) to be shure all plug-ins and registations is correct.
This could be done manually, but ....

9 dsp is a lot more fun than 3,

Thanks a lot. I think i'll uninstall the software current installation because one file seems to be lost since the last installation (about last three weeks).

Then, I conect the hardware first, and, later, I install the software.

Finaly, it's going to be very easy...

but i would never adwise anybody to go back to luna software.
I love SFP too much for that

Dont STM16S ship with Scope Home software?
I think they are included in SFP 4
But you might need to buy Mixer Extention 1 to get the STM 2448 and STM 24S

I did some experimenting with Adobe Audition
surround encoder a year or two back,
but my DVD player (an old NAD)
refuse to play my masterpieces

But i guess my neck is going to be sore the next weeks, head turning a lot of 360's, because a DTS encoder is on its way to my door.

Ca $450-500 (incl shipping)
It does DVD-R at 768kb/s or 1,536mb/s (48kHz)
or CD-R at 1,234mb/s (44,1kHz)

The encoded files (DVD-R) can then be used
with YOUR DVD-Video editor, it says

There is a demo for download.
It looks verry simple and straight forward,
but i guess it need some experiece to get
