Since all my problems with the sampleplayers are gone since 2.04a, I'm using 2.04a - love that, but unfortunately I discovered (as always in serious situations (had to get a job done very fast)) that it seems not to be possible to sync Pulsar to ADAT especially at 48 Khz. Finally I copied the material analogue through the A16 which synced fine to Pulsar - but this is no real solution.

Is this a known problem ?

Who synchronizes Pulsar (2 Pulsars) as slave to ADAT esp. 48Khz without problems ? With 1.2 this was no problem.

thanks

Subject: i do, it works!

hi,
i´m working on two computers synced with a yamaha 03d.

it works fine! you can see the patching on my homepage if you are speaking german (if not-try to find it on the links like www.horrn.de/studio/verdrahtung.htm )

it should work at your computer too!
you have too choose one adatlink as masterlink you know? don´t try to sync to 2 seperate machines!

hm, i will think about it!

greetings
t.

Subject: i also do, no problem... never...

connecting digital devices via adat to pulsar runs well for me. at all sampling frequencies, and with pulsar as master or as slave... no problem

using winME and pulsar2.04a

Subject: something interesting :

O.K. found something interesting :
To my shame I have to say that I'm using an overclocked PIII 700. When I use it at 133MHZ Bus I got a 933...
Worked well for me so far, but when I change Busfrequency back to 100 Pulsar again is able to synchronize ...Is it a problem with the 133 Bus or the overclocked Pentium ???

Anybody any idea, why it is like this ?

Thanks

Martin

Subject: fsb-pci-ratio...?

are running the pci bus at a third or at a quarter of 133mhz? if you can´t adjust the ratio from 1/3 to 1/4, pulsar is overclocked.

well, if you _can_ do so, it´s quite strange. perhaps the via chipset has a bug (...?) in that ratio setting.

Subject: ASUS CUSL board stays at normal PCI bus

I'm using an ASUS CUSL2 - board - the most recommended here in the list - it's possible to set 100/100/33 MHZ or 133/133/33 MHZ so nothing should change ...
Now I will try if there is a bios - update ...

#Trotzdem danke

Subject: It seems to be a problem of 2 Pulsar I !

Problem is gone when I work with only one Pulsar I - some weired things happened which I can't really describe ... so I tested it with one pulsar, and I bet the problem will be gone too, if I change to Pulsar soft. 1.2 !

really strange, isn't it ?
