Ali @ creamware suggested I make a new ASB forum.

Rather than create yet another forum, I renamed the "Noah" forum to "ASB and Noah" so people can chat about the hardware boxes there...

Cheers,
-John

sorry John, i have to disagree with that combination. Combining a a phased out product in the same segment as a newly released one (which acyually is VERY different) is a bad move as for sending signals.

just my 3 dollars.

this would work too. both Noah and ASB's are boxes

posts can be titled in a way to identify them quickly.

Noah-xxxxx
Minimax-xxxxx
Profit-5-xxxxx

and so on

Piddi, the Noah is an awesome machine, in it's own way

I bet the ASB is too.

They can live together here easily, I think - after all, it's a less frequented forum, and easy to sort through.

[/on topic]

Thanks Ralf - sent any to Australia? - I've got some mates who could do with one

Hello John,

great idea !

Both boxes can be headed by a computer, because of the remote software, which is includet in the product extent.
But these products are suited also for the road.
In the next future the Profit-5 ASB will come up.
An additional world with suggestions will grow.
Surely, the Scope system, intigrated in a computer is really not the past and forgotten for CWA. So it seems better to separate these products according to their suitability.

Decide by yourselve ( users not John  ) to use a computer on stage or not. Everything is possible in the studio, because of the remote.
So it it is possible, to feed these boxes konfortabel with own sounds, before any live event.

Nevertheless . . .

In order to create some overview in this forum, it is surely helpfully to create a new place, to handel these hard boxes as something own.

My opinion.

But it is also nice to be able to see the forum in one go on a 1024*768 monitor without having to scroll up and down. I often have Z in a tab in my browser, and every once in a while I just refresh. The Noah forum isn't exactly bussy - the first page of posts go back 9 months. I have a feeling the ASB forum will not be bussy either - what is there to go wrong, set up badly, malhandle, screw up or whatever? Probably nothing much (sure, I could be wrong). And if things are effortlessly working fine, there will likely not be too much activity in the forum, so the overview will not be too dificult to get, and it will keep the total forum easyer to navigate (for my size of monitors anyway).

I am definitely biased though, as I am not much of a synth guy anyway.

I have to ask the shipping - office.

Maybe we will consider to ship some ASB-Boxes *lol*.
They are very stable and will surely get over the long way

cheers

Hi Ralf,

Good luck with the ASB boxes! Creamware always meant to me quality is sound. I hope the ASBs will rock the world and never mind the DSP cards in my wish. We love them and I myself will stay with it as long as possible (read: as my machine will do the job) - the computer specs are now at the point of being good enough not to be considered as a compromise between something and something . A 1.4 GHz Mac (as mine) is enough for my music creattion needs. Fullstop. Of course I'd love to see the OSX release but in my honest opinion I'd rather see Mac OS 9.3 (but I camn't tell you what bugs to reslove). I love the system. But nowadays OSX has so much too show - sequencer like apps etc. so we are forced to use it... They are not blind words - I work with OSX at my work and it's a pain for me for many basic reasons...
