As a number of people have read this post but not replied, I thought I had better change my approach.

I would be very grateful if any users of RD Drum could confirm whether or not they have the same problems as I have:-

I get very loud high pitched "feedback" when ever I try to play a sample (either one of my own or one supplied with RDDrum) in either of the 8x Wav Oscs modules. Samples load fine into the other WAV loadable modules.

Custom Drum 1 - Pitch 1 Env settings are not saved properly - the module loaded is always the same as the module for the Oscillator!

I have just let John Bowen know that I have these problems (plus feedback settings are stored incorrectly - always reload as maximum of 127, which John has confirmed is a bug). Please just post back if you have the same problems or not with this otherwise great drum program.

Just edited above post but didn't realise that this would not bump it to the top of the pile - so here I go......

well, it doesn't help much, but I get the very same error (never tried to load that 8xWav before) - probably a serious bug.
the box doesn't recover from the error and has to be reloaded - and there's some painfully high content in the output

Hi Astroman. I have just been retrying the 8xWav modules and I seem to have stumbled upon a solution, although I am not sure if this is a sure fire solution yet as the actual problem seems to have an unpredictable nature;- set all gains to zero before loading the first sample into a fresh 8xWav module. Once you have loaded your sample then adjust the gain to hear it. It seems that if no sample is loaded then this high pitched feedback noise is made instead and cannot be got rid of unless you load in a sample - or set the gain to zero where no sample is loaded (which you would have to anyway - unless you want to be deafend by the squealing!!).

Have you tried the Custom Drum 1 module?
Problems I keep getting when reloading a project using RDdrum and it's Custom Drum 1 module:-

The Custom Drum 1 Modules 5 front panel settings are stored correctly with the dials in their corresponding positions but the data boxes underneath them display the standard loadup settings - not the actual stored settings (Not a serious problem).

The same module used for the Oscillator is always copied to the Pitch1 Env .

All of the other modules, except for the Pitch1 Env module, are correctly loaded by type of module but with their standard settings rather than the saved settings.

John Bowen is looking into the problems mentioned in this post and seems to have pretty much solved them - I have just been testing out a few updated modules. I don't want to jump the gun here and announce anything I shouldn't but I think all the problems mentioned will be solved pretty soon.
