Hi !

Got the Scope Home yesterday and installed drivers properly. But when I try to install the Scope 4.0 software, the system installs everything, but the SFP.exe and the Uninstall.exe.
It even creates a blank desktop icon for Scope Platform 4.0, but the exe is not installed to run it.
I tried several times, also with all background programs (like antivir) closed. It does not work !
I even downloaded installation file again from Creamware homepage and tried this way. Same crap !
Any idea what I can do ?

Thx,

Jörg aka Lord_Nordan

that's a new one.
are you sure that it's not working?
there should be a scope icon in the lower right. right clicking that should give you a menu that says "show" and "exit scope platform". scope should be running by default unless you turn it off.

The icon is there, but its blank. No Scope picture. If I doubleklick the window "searching for file SFP.exe" opens. It's not installed by the installation process. That's the same with the Uninstall.exe. Also not available. If I watch the start menu and then watch "Scope", both are there, the program link and the uninstall link (both without picture just blank), but both are not installed.

the icon i am refering to is on the windows taskbar, not the desktop. also, one right click is all that's required. choosing show should bring up the livebar. on the livebar under the "set" menu, you can choose to show the routing window. did you read the instructions?

how about actually exploring the scope folder? is the exe file there? you could probably copy it into the folder manually if nessessary, but i suspect that scope is already working. have you restarted the computer?

i can assure you that the software works unless there is a problem with your computer(i doubt that there is). i have done numerous installs and have never seen your problem....

I've solved that problem now. I copied the whole "bin" folder to the folder on my computer. Now it works ! I think there's something wrong in the installation routine that some files are not installed. Anyway ! Got the next problem: I got a central VST-folder on drive E. Both Cubase and Wavelab take their plugins from there. I installed the XTC-plugins in this directory, but both programms don't find them. Do i need to activate the plugins first by entering a code somewhere ?

no, but you may need to activate xtc mode for the plugs to be registered in cubase. you may also need to manually activate the plugs in cubase in the plugin sttings window in cubase.

And remember that in order to use XTC mode, not only it must be activated, but also the startup project that usually is loaded when you start Windows, must be "Exited" , because Scope must not be running, not even in background, when you launch your VST app.
