I used to be a big fan of the Saturn. It's supposedly modelled on the old Jupiters - and I played a Jupiter 6 for a couple of years live.
But after getting into the ModV2, the Saturn feels a little ponderous and clunky, a bit heavy-handed. I think time has been unkind to it.

The Saturn is a great synth, but I found the interface a little too large. There could be some more free synths like this great thing

One of my favorite synths, this thing can even make some BOOMing basedrums. That Roland/Oberheim switch is funky for sure, I like it, and even though the interface is "big" it is the type of synth you will want to program to get the most from. If you've use the Access Virus, you might find this synth to have a similar character, but will be relieved to find out that the interface is much better here
BTW, I tend to prefer to keep the effects off on this thing and, if needed, use external effects.
I'd say this is an ESSENTIAL synth for everyone to have, its probably among the best "traditional" Virtual Analogs out for FREE on this platform.

i would go so far to say that is *the* best traditional analog synth on the pulsar platform (free ones anyways). the stock fx are not good, but the distortion can be a "quick fix" for nasty bass.

This synth keeps throwing surprises at me when I play with it, but it is starting to show its age now. I would absolutely luuuurrrvvvveee to see a new version of this that was slightly smoother sounding. Any takers?

I don't know if it's the best synth but I use it most of all free Pulsar synths. The sound in fat and the sonic results are impressive!!!!!!!!

The Saturn is great!!! Some sounds are a bit clangerous (though of course you can edit to your heart's content) but considering it is completely free you can't go wrong. I highly recommend it!!! Download it now!!!

YESSS! It is a SYNTHEZIZER this Saturn! And for free. Fantastic! I am into weird sounds, and this one can really make some of those. Controlled - keys, knobs and all - from my AN1x and both synths working at the same time...very good

I do love this synth - flexible sometimes cold sometimes warm, excellent.
And it's for free? yes - unbelievable!

				Poor Saturn.

I still love it and use it but now the wood sides are 'broken' under SFP 3.1a in Standard Mode
