Just look at that and tell me if any of your problems won't feel insignificant.

Nice one... I recently started to use xplanet as desktop background on the laptop. It shows the earth like that, from about above my place, inclusive the light of the sun as the day goes by. Finally there's no more need to go out to see if it's light outside.

Anyone seen the satellite pictures in the news lately, of our planet now and 30 years ago? Hope-giving eh. :/

I thought you're going to ask why australians won't fall off the globe

funny no-one mention this http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/
check the screenshots....
terraserver is quite amazing... feeling paranoid ? you can choose a location and get a few meters resolution. With Globe, you can zoom anywhere you want on this planet, or even drive in 3d (it's got altiude parameters)...
worth the install on a good machine with network access (images are updated often, dpending on the satellite and state government...
now go visit earth...
see you (there)

Good remark!
Because of size, of course.

I've got that one too
It's nice to be able to rotate Earth with your index finger.
