Hi

First time posting, long time thanks for this forum.

I've re-installed Scope 4.0 in windows XP with a setup that has run fine in the past but this time when i open my regular projects i get a problem window pop up-

"Can't find DSP file sync to midi - please check installation"

It seems to be related to the 'Sequencer midi source' device, which loads into the routing window but reports the error.

I've tried re-installing both Scope 4.0 & 3.1

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Thanks

yeah, it's been discussed a lot. it seems to happen with the downloaded version not the cd version in my experience, but someone will probably dispute that. it helps to be sure that you don't have any antivirus programs running with or when installing scope.

first, did you check the dsp files? is that file there? if not, you can drag and drop it where it belongs manually from your install files.

second, if it is there, is it marked as "read only" in the properties dialog? if so, uncheck that and it should work.

no antivirus, make sure it's there, uncheck "read only", it should work.

if you do all that and still no love, you may want to consider starting from scratch carefully. a properly configured computer runs with no problems, and old installs can become very corrupt......

Thanks garyb, it was the anti-virus software.
By the way, i am using a downloaded version of the software.
Cheers, back into it...
