I am at present doing some recording for my friend and his band, and everything is good and ready to go, except at the begging of one of the tracks there is a small clip like noise that seems only to be on the guitar and vocal channels, i've tried my hardest to iron it out but its not obvious form looking at the wave form that its a clip so it was probably caused by a glitch whilst recording. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how to sort it? can i post the offending clips somewhere on Z so peolle can listen to it?
i think that the original problem may have been caused by my graphics card, i have now cahnged the latency and it isn't clicking, but without doing another take is there any way i can help my friend's recording??

if the waveform isn't distorted completely you might apply the stuff that's used to restore vinyl recordings (declicker)

Thanks Tom, i have been trying to use de clickers and i'vw so far used Stienbergs declicker and x click (waves restoration) but have had no joy, they either alter the sound too much or don't really do the job. i'll keep on trying...

Well, i've just used the de clicker for the n'th time and it seems that its done the trick. it is, however, really hard to tell because the clip is just in between the words " to the", and if you try to say these words fast you naturally make a click at the begging of "the". I was not using a pop shield when the recording was being done - because i was using a directional mic. Any way, i can deal with a slight pop but not a clip! Any ideas as to how to remove pops??
let me guess.. a de popper? i had a brain wave and thought that it would be great if some one could develop these sort of devices in sdk - i know creamwave have released their restoration pack but a free one for scope would be great!

Well there is an option to edit the track manually in wave editor and remove whatever bothers you. If you zoom in you will be able to see the click or pop or clip or whatever. Then cut(or mark) the part of track with snap to zero function and silence it! It is to short a pause for human ear to notice couple of milisecs of silence especially in the mix.
