With a total of 16 oscillators (including a variety of types, including sample playback), two extended mode filters, 4 envelopes (one 8-stage looping env), 2 LFOs, stereo panning, ring modulation, a modulation matrix of 4 mod paths, and a total of 5 Rotor objects in the system, the Rotor EX is suitable for expansive sound layers and textures, strange and organic, with FM possibilities as well as other hybrid structures.

Updated and new presets from Paul Kuchar and Carl Lofgren added July 5, 2005.

Some presets demos ...
Few dry because it just suits IMHO, onboard FX used only and ONE voice for all.

Lofgren Kuchar.mp3
Lofgren Kuchar.ogg

Mostly beautiful pads and eerie atmospherics !!

11 min, around 19 MB for each

Guitton.mp3
Guitton.ogg

The other side : wild FX, glitch, mayhem, drones, noises ... you were warned !

9 min, around 17 MB for mp3, 22 for ogg ( size varies according to spectral content I would guess )

It's clear this synth covers a large spectrum to begin with plus we haven't used the wav oscillators and Red Dwarf modules !

On 6 DSP you can use 1 or 2 voices ( 3 rarely ) at 44.1 / 48 KHz no wonder since you can fire up to 16 oscillators.
