Why is it,that, when I have a stereo signal, and disconnect the left incoming signal I have nothing coming out of the left?
When I do it vice versa I can still hear Right signal.
Why does left need the right input also?
What is the signal flow?
Any ideas?

Thanks

a ground problem? Badly made cables? Try to replace them with another pair and reproduce the problem....

Sorry,didn't explain properly.
It's an internal setup.ASIO,Wav source etc to stereo channel(stm mixer)IN.

I think connecting the Left input activates the channel, it lets the mixer know which is active. A switch to activating the channel also means it doesn't take much dsp when it's not activated. That's why an empty 2448 doesn't eat dsp untill you connect lots of inputs...

Any insert in the stereo track with 'mono in' option will take that from left too, if that may consolidate you
