Welcome to Z. However you may want to post this message under problem solving.

it can be confusing at first but you will get the hang of it.

Hi all. YLTDC here again. Sorry about the posting in anncouncments but as you all guessed, I am as new as they come.

My problem is that I have 2 Pulsar 1 cards in a PC runnig Logic 5.5 I use a Radium controller but I have just added a Korg Trinity synth.Without the Trinity in the picture my system records audio/MIDI just fine. However, audio/MIDI from the Trinity will not record in Logic. The synth seems to be working fine as a stand alone workstation but no love with Logic/Pulsar.
Any help would be great.

how are you routing midi?
does the midi track in logic have it's input set to the cw midi module?
is the pulsar midi source connected to the seq midi dest? (each card has it's own midi source/dest modules)
is the korg's midi out connected to the pulsar midi in?

i've had those same pieces of hardware connected before so i know that they work fine. you can easily sync either logic to the korg or vice-versa....

Thanks for the reply garyb.

The midi track in Logic is set to the cw midi module.

The pulsar midi source is connected to the seq midi dest.

The korg's midi out is connected to the pulsar midi in.

I know this should be very simple but is there in intrnal function/setting on the korg that is prohibiting communication?

I have tried setting korg local to both off/on and still no love. Changing MIDI in the korg for sequencer and program seems to
have no effect.Perhaps there is a physical problem within the korg itself?

I can see MIDI from the korg being recorded
in Logic but the korg does not play back audio. Thanks again for your input.

Thank you again.

you need the sequencer midi source connected to the pulsar midi dest connected to the korg midi input to play back the korg's sounds via midi, of course.....

and try a fitting environment for Logic. Have a look at http://www.swiftkick.com

the environment can do real cool things, but fooling with it is really not very nessessary to do basic, simple things....

Hello people of Planet Z.
I wanted to thank those who tried to help with my Logic/CW/Korg problem. It has been determined that the Korg Trinity is the the problem. It has been in for repair since my last posting. I will let you know what the outcome is. Thank you again.
