hi  i'm desperate ) sorry for my bad english i'm italian and i'll try to explain my problems...

i start with the first one... my luna dont works in xp!! i install it (scope 4), luna works well but.. when i install and open cubase it dont find the midi port but only the midi port (emulation)... if i load a project with audio, so i can work without midi, when the song starts luna crash (in the luna's mixer asio are at maximum level and cubase and luna are crashed!!!)

i work in win 2000 but about every 30 min the pc crash, it's blocked!!!! (more sound and audio track an midi track in the project, more easy it appens)

ps. gigastudio dont find my luna as a full duplex, either in xp than win2000

i'm desperate, impossibile to work with this problem, please help me (if possible in simple english ) )

two things...
first, be sure that your controller keyboard is NOT sending out active sensing(use the midi monitor). if it is, disable active sensing, if you can't disable it, use the midi filter.

second, you need to move the file called ignoreportfilter out of the folder it's in(i believe it was called midi port filter) into the main cubase folder. this will show the other ports.

there is a reason that cubase works this way and i'd give you the link to the steinberg knowledgebase article explaining things, but the steinberg server handling that part of the website is down......(see, it happens to everyone)

it's the same with other project... with or without kontakt... with different samples... only audio... always the same!! when the project is more complicated, the pc chash in few minutes, when the project is simple or new, and i record only the first and second midi track for esample, it crash after 30 min about... if i go to eat , when go back to the pc it works, after 2 hour two... but if i use it, it can crash in every second, only with the moviment of mouse and cubase in pause!!! i hope you undestand my english

did you check for active sensing?
check system information and see if the cwa card is sharing an irq with anything else. are you using a ps2 mouse(you should)?

please read this... another user explain similar problem in a better english

http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... &forum=1&2

my configuration:
intel 3.0 prescott
motherboard Abit VT7
512mb ram
no irq problem, i check it

only a strange thing, i cannot use my adsl pci modem and luna 2 together... so in win xp i install only modem, in win 2000 (music) i install only luna 2... if i install togheter adsl modem stop to works after about 15min

ok, maybe it works ))

this is the procedure i used:

install xp
install aspi
install driver spf 3.1c
install scope 4
install cubase Sx and move the file "ignoreportfilter" from the folder "MIDI Port Enabler" to the main folder of cubase and voila'!!!

i only test it for 45 min with the same project in loop... and it works (the other times only 15min and crash!!!)

if i have other problem i contact you another time

thanx boys ))
