You should know that the GPS system is installed to control expenses. There is an alloted timeframe to to a specific task in a field. Also, it is important to know exactly where the tractor in case it breaks down.

So yes, farmers DO work very hard indeed.

If they were doing it right, the farmer wouldn't be in the tractor..... he'd be busy designing new crop circles.......

Of course....that's why they use GPS. Plot out cultivation/harvest of massive fields accurately, with a path that will use the least fuel/time. Would save days.

As a kid I earned money by "cotton chipping". Chipping the weeds out from rows of cotton with a hand held hoe. The end of the field was the horizon, and the field was dead flat....honestly.

"When I was a little biddy baby....."

These crop circles aren't supposed to show an entry pont are they?

Re: Farmers working hard....the ones on subsidies probably don't eg. EU and USA. I know Australian farmers slave their ass off for whatever they earn.

bingo, are the patterns downloadable to the tractor ?
Yes, the tractor is equipped with WIFI so the farmer can download the patterns from his room. Additional feature includes the capability to download thousands of different personalized horn sounds that can be used to signal his mood to his wife when returning from a long day in the fields. Here's one example:
