Hi all ,
I have a new Q,
this is kind of a newbie one ,
but I have never tries this before .

How can I connect the seqencer's clock , I.e cubase to the one of my synths in my Luna.
for example how can I controll the arpeg clock using cubase clock.

Thanks,
Sid

in cubase(transport menu/sync options, i believe) there is a menu for transmitting midi clock(search help for "sync") choose scope midi i/o and there you have it.

Usually using Cubase clock is not a great idea (try it on the delays of a synth and you'll see why). It's usually better to enter the tempo of a track in manually (of course this assumes you use the same tempo throughout). However if you still wish to try then make sure that Cubase is sending MIDI Clock (can't remember where it is but i'm sure you have to tick some box or option somewhere for it to send), and that you're recipient device is set to Ext.

Hi guys ,
I thought this would be easy, I guest it is not so simple ...

I want to synch my sb404 to my kicks,
I wanted to use the patterns of the sb404 for this,
But whenever I press the Ext button for the clock source , then the synth stops.
, now if I set the patterns speed to be the same as the sequencer , then they are at the same speed but not at the same phase.

Is there a way to do what I need , Is there any one using this ?

Thanks

Using MIDI clock, they will always drift. Internal clock also can't be exactly the same, see the problem topics on MIDI synchronisation.

I'd put SB404 on same BPM as the sequencer and retrigger each sequence.

Hi ,

Using this method (retrigering the synth ) , means I can not play live !

Is there no other way for this ?

The BPM always drifts. Only thing you can do is shorten the time it can accumulate these drifts. And that, you can do by as often as possible (after each 16steps) retrigger the sequencer.
