hi everybody. the problem is that wavestation as a vst instrument plays all my midi files whith tempo problems for all tempo except 120 and 60 in cubase sx2. these midi files play ok whith a different instrument in cubase sx and even whith wavestation as a vsti in a different sequencer (fruity loops)!!!
i've tried everything!(allmost) can anybody help?
thanx..

i think that when you change this the tempo change does not affect the midi track. is this so?

anyway i tried that change and so many others... it seems to be a very difficult problem to solve.
thanx anyway...

multi-processor setting in cubase?
if off, try enabling it. if on, try disable it.
just guessing really, the link to your breifcase didn't work for me so i didn't hear the error.....
do other vsts behave properly?

aaaargghh.
uh, wrong thread.
but that doesn't mean i don't want to help you, tony usm...
what setting/feature on the wavestation has to do with tempo? if the wavestation is simply playing back what is inputed to it, there can't really be this behavior. is is possible to try it as stand-alone? very strange....

that's ok gary. very strange realy.. i don't think that i can import midi file and play wavestation as stand-alone. only as vsti.
it is also strange that plays ok in other sequencer..

well, i don't know.
my last idea is to check the plugin information window in sx. are there any strange settings(compared to other vstis)?

Check on Cubase's Tempo Track after importing a MIDI file.

Where's the Pulsar in this story?

Maybe there's a tempo-based delay running at 120bpm within the VST? I don't have the Wavestation VSTi so I can't check, but look in the effects section if it has one.

it has one.

where IS the pulsar in this thread?

I think it went that way ->

But it might also be my new Super Shapeshifting Mechanical Redundantly-Named Robot prototype playing games with my mind =P

exactly the same behaviour as my Phatmatic Pro slice sample editor shows off...
if I create a midi file of the slices from the Phat window into Cubase's arrangement, I get a tempo change according to the loaded loop's precise length.
(latest Phat update is only OSX...).

Common factor: samples (waves)
