Hi i am using 4 tap chorus as an insert effect in the stm 16/32 mixer - cubase 5.1 is sequencer. How do you change effect presets via midi?

All the effect paramaters are midi controllable (by right click & the assign midi cc), but this doesn't seem to work for an effect program change. If I right click the preset icon, i will be able to assign midi cc to it (called open preset dialog or something like that), I can even record this if i change preset with the mouse, but when I play it back the effect stays the same and doesn't chnage. I have tried adding program changes in the list editor in my sequencer, but this doesnt seem to work either.

is it possible to change effect presets via midi? if so how?
thanks

Hmm when you playback the CC stuff in Cubase, are you sending that data back to the mixer/whever the effect is?

yes, I must be because I can get midi automation of various parameters within the chorus (or other effects) to work on playback...its just the presets that won't change...if its possible to change them (& I assume it would be) I must have something set wrongly somewhere, I'll double check everything tomorrow night & see
