I've just put up the first draft of a website I've been working on for a friend of mine.
Pete's an awesome painter who uses icon painting traditional techniques (painting on wooden panels, making his own paint in true tempera painting tradition). Mostly he does traditional religious icons, but he also does 'rock' icons in the russian and italian styles, likes this:

and this:

Here's the site:
http://www.petermurphyicons.com

I'd be interested in anything anyone's got to say about improvements to the site, but really I just thought people might like to see his work.

The rest of the rock icons are in the 'Secular' gallery section, but the others are also definitely worth looking at.

Cheers,
Ben

Impressive
But now, common, where is the Tiesto icon...? or do you have to be dead first?

Something odd happened the first time I clicked on the "Biography" link, but I think that was a BUG in Firefox as since then it's worked the same way as the other links. A separate window opened full-screen but with no "window elements" visible! :???:

I think the site's very good - clear, simple layout and easy on the eye.

Good work, Ben

And great work, Peter!

I will direct my local WA friends to this site - i have a feeling this work will appeal to many countrymen (aboriginal people) here

Hubird, shouldn't we have Charley Pride before Tiesto?

p.s. - lovely quote there on the index page
